The Sucky Sisterhood Podcast: Interviews with Miscarriage and Infant Loss Survivors

Slaying the Stigma with Leslie Hernandez

Leslie Hernandez Season 3 Episode 22

Leslie Hernandez is originally from Mexico, moved to the DFW when she was three, and has lived here ever since. She is a 5th-grade reading teacher at Burnet Elementary in Dallas ISD. Leslie currently resides in Irving, TX with her husband Samuel, a high school principal. She is a proud mother to Aaron (9), Andres, their angel baby, they lost in April 2020, and a baby girl coming June 2023.

Leslie loves giving back to the loss community in honor of Andres’ life by donating books at local hospitals for grieving parents and shares Andre's story as a way to show others how God can help us through our most difficult times and find hope in him again. She also enjoys sharing how therapy has helped her so much in her healing.
